The Riebeek Valley is a magical place that has reminded many visitors of either the south of France or Tuscany. The stunning scenery, the climate, the laid back atmosphere and interesting mix of people together with a diverse selection of locally produced wine and port (4 cellars to choose from as well as two internationally known private producers), olives, fresh fruit, meat and a number of excellent restaurants, create a heady mix which is hard to resist.
Art galleries, local potters, painters, master craftsmen and other places of interest further enhance the "look" and "feel" of the Valley.
In addition, small interesting shops and outlets are scattered all over the Valley between the towns of Riebeek Kasteel, Riebeek-West and Hermon.
Hiking, PPC Marathon, birding, fishing, horse riding and golf are popular activities in the area.
