Situated in Velddrif village, the Fisherman's Cottage accommodates up to 6 people, Velddrif is 2 kms upstream from the mouth of the Berg River where the annual Berg River Canoe Marathon ends (July).
Have the beach to yourself - offering its abundance of seashells and sea-life along the miles of white sandy shore.
Wander down to Bokkom Lane where fishermen continue much the same way as they have done in the last 150 years with processing of Bokkoms - dried fish.
Explore this area with its rich history of angling and yachting. Take a boat trip up the Berg River or simply step back in time, relax and watch the sun set over St. Helena Bay. A more energetic choice could include taking a kayak up the Berg River.
