Kleinmond self catering holiday accommodation is popular at this coastal holiday town that gets its name from the 'small mouth' of the
Bot River. The river flows from its estuary/ lagoon to the beautiful sandy main beach of Kleinmond - which is over 2 kms long and repeatedly receives 'blue flag' status.
Walk the coastal path from the main beach to the Palmiet river, on the south-west end of Kleinmond. River rafting and tubing can be arranged as part of a day's excursion. Golf is a very popular attraction to the area either at the Kleinmond Golf Club or the
Arabella Golf Estate.
Kleinmond is known for its wild horses that reportedly can be traced back to the end of the Anglo-Boer War when soldiers left their horses to roam the vlei area. The descendents of the horses can frequently be seen around the
Kogelberg biospere with its coastal sand dunes and fynbos vegetation around the lagoon.
