Bloubergstrand has many self catering apartments and bed and breakfast guest houses that provide an ideal base from which to explore the treasures of the West Coast.  Blouberg is famous for its world renowned vista of Table Mountain across the bay and historic Robben Island. 
Conveniently close to Cape Town CBD, Blaauwberg is known as a top surfing and angling spot, with kilometres of white sandy beach making it a focal point for kite surfing, wind surfing, jetskiing and other watersports. It is close to Koeberg Nature reserve, the Rietvlei Nature reserve and wetlands area, with bird hides to see more that 100 bird species.
Two excellent golf courses are available including Atlantic Beach and Milnerton golf clubs.  Other entertainment is centred around the nearby Eden on the Bay shopping centre or Canal Walk Mall.
