Holiday in Jacobsbaai, an isolated
Cape West coast village with
accommodation in lime washed houses on the rocks of the azure sea. Watch spectacular sunsets from the patio of your
selfcatering cottage, and break away from the fast pace of city life and go birding, or watch the whales or dolphins - all year round. Visit the
West Coast National Park, or the magnificent
indigenous wild flower display in August and September.
The warm hospitality of the 'Weskus' people will appeal to all, whether you are a sun worshipper, outdoors adventurer, sports person or nature lover.
Jacobsbaai hit the news headlines in 2009 when a barge, 'the Margaret' ran aground carrying several pontoons and floating docks one above the other. Salvors tried to separate the pontoons in an attempt to slide them off the barge, for tugs to take them to Saldanha Bay.
