Visit Stony Point’s Jackass Penguin breeding colony in Betty’s Bay or try out more active adventure activities such as sand boarding, sea kayaking, tandem paragliding.  Try boat cruises, fishing charters or great white shark-cage-diving at Gansbaai. The Cape’s Whale Route is also one of the best mountain venues for hang gliding and paragliding.
Enjoy the Hermanus Wine and Food Fair in August, the Hermanus Whale Festival and the Fernkloof Wild Flower Festival in September, or the music, theatre and crafts at the Kalfiefees in Onrus in August.
