Summer Sunset Concerts in the Helderberg Nature Reserve,
from November 2011 to March 2012.
Pack your picnic baskets, round up the family and head down to the
Helderberg Nature Reserve in Somerset West for the
Summer Sunset Concerts. With music ranging from jazz, pop, rock, oompah and big band, there is something for every mood and age.
These festive outdoor concerts kick off on
Sunday 27 November 2011 with
The Blues Broers. This legendary band has returned to the stage after a hiatus of seven years. Snappily attired in their trademark black suits and dark glasses, they are ready to roll again. The band is currently recording a new album, Out of the Blue, due for release in November this year.
The concerts take place on the following Sundays at 17:30:

- 11 December 2011 The Delft Big Band
- 8 January 2012 Wurstzipfel (Oompah) Band
- 22 January 2012 Shiraz
- 5 February 2012 Virtual Jazz Reality
- 19 February 2012 The SA Navy Staff Band
- 11 March 2012 Banned in Evolution
All proceeds generated by the concerts go towards environmental projects in the Reserve.

The tickets for the Summer Sunset Concerts cost R40 per adult and R10 for scholars and the price includes entrance to the Reserve. There is no admission fee for children under the age of five. Tickets are available at the Nature Reserve Information Centre or on concert days at the gate.
