Enjoy the
Hermanus Fairy Forest and Picnic on Dec 17th - a fun event that will also see the launch of
Whale Coast Conservation’s Sustainable Lifestyle project for the promotion of sustainable development and lifestyles in the Overberg.
Date: Saturday 17 December
Time: 18h30 – 21h30
Venue: Picnic arena at Grotto Beach, Hermanus
Cost: Free entrance
Highlights of the evening are a sustainability fairy tale and a fairy count in the milkwood forest.
Piet the Piper will lead children into the forest which will be lit by hundreds of fairy lights and there they will have to promise to live sustainably in order to save the fairies from extinction.
And even if you don’t believe in fairies, come to the event anyway - there will be hot chicks and cool dudes to check out and a fun evening to be enjoyed during the festive season. It‘s a “bring and braai”, fires will be provided and snacks and soft drinks will be on sale. So bring your picnic gear and your torch to spot any fairies and join us on
17 December from 18h30 to 21h30 at the picnic area
next to Piet se Bos at Grotto Beach in Hermanus. Entrance is free after 16h30 – and that’s sustainable!
