The Good Food & Wine Show is South Africa's premiere food, wine and lifestyle show, and the only one of its kind to consistently bring a star-studded line-up of the world's most inspiring chefs to South Africa.
This year the 12th annual show
at the Cape Town International Convention Centre,
from 26 -29 May
will see renowned chef Heston Blumenthal,
the 'Culinary Alchemist', in his first-ever public appearance in South Africa.
A self-taught gastronomic genius, Heston is the owner of The Fat Duck, which holds a 3-star Michelin Guide rating and was named best restaurant in the world on more than one occasion. His specialty is gastronomy – the science of food – and his passion for flavour and kitchen chemistry have taken him on an unusual journey that includes odd-sounding period dishes like Meat Fruit from the middle ages and Mock Turtle Soup from the Victorian era, to taste-adventuring with edible insects. Whether you think his creations are tantalizing or just down-right wacky, visitors won't want to miss the chance to see him live at the Samsung Chefs in Action Theatre, in association with AFROX Handigas.
A highlight of the show, the
Samsung Chefs in Action Theatre treats visitors to the rare chance to see some of the world’s most inspiring chefs perform live. If that’s not enough, visitors can even rub shoulders with their favourite chefs in the
