The Helderberg Wine Race has elements of the TV series and is for teams of 4 participants per car who are given a map, goodie bag, and clues to decipher a series of enourmously fun, wine- themed tasks. The clues lead to unexplored Helderberg wine farms with activities that range from food pairing, blindfolded wine tasting to fun and adventure activities.
The race takes place on the 29 May, 26 June & 28 August 2010, starting at Cape Town Tourism at Southey’s Vines and ends at a Wine farm. The end destination changes on every race.
At the end of the race winners will receive a special gift of wine or vouchers from each wine estate visited, signed by the owner/winemaker.
Racing cost: R100 pp includes team bandana, water, race snacks and race completion certificate.
