Kirstenbosch Winter Warmer concerts are held at the Silvertree Restaurant in the magnificent botanical gardens below the slopes of Table Mountain's ravines. The winter concert series runs from May to October on Sunday evenings.  Choose your Cape Town holiday accommodation venue close to Kirstenbosch to set the tone for holiday entertainment.

The program includes a welcome drink and the evening begins with the best of local musicians entertaining you in a relaxed, cosy atmosphere from 19h00 - 20h30.

Winter Concert Series 2011
July 17:
Silver Tree Restaurant – Ike Moriz Winter Concert
International pop star IKE MORIZ has received wide acclaim for his 11 albums ranging from
original melodic indie Rock/Pop to Latin/Easy Listening & Jazzy Swing. His songs reached No.1
in both Europe & SA.
July 24: Valpre & La Capra – Bed on Bricks Winter Concert
Bed on Bricks has a fierce reputation for their mixture of rock to reggae, and Afro funk to rap,as
well as something truly South African
July 31: Spier Wines– McCree Winter Concert
MCCREE is a dynamic 5 piece rock band from Cape Town, South Africa. Formed over 2 years
ago the bands sound is modern, melodic and powerful. Already MCCREE has been tipped as the
band to watch in 2011.
August 14: Cape Point Vineyards – Zebra & Giraffe Winter Concert
With their experimental indie rock, their dedication and passion for their craft and an almost

August 21: Valpre & Schalk Burger - Hot Water Winter Concert

August 28: De Leuwenjagt – Gugulethu Tenors Winter Concert

Gugulethu Tenors.
September 3 & 4: Durbanville Hills – Louise Carver Winter Concert

September 11: Silver Tree Restaurant - Wrestlerish Winter Concert
After a whirlwind year of touring and performing in 2009, Wrestlerish released their debut album
"The Rude Mechanical" in March 2010 through Rhythm Records and has quickly become the
band that is on the tip of everyone's tongue.
September 18: Valpre & Waterkloof– Ashtray Electric Winter Concert
Winner of the MK Award 2009 for Best Newcomer, Ashtray Electric’s music is dreamy, moody
and packed with riffs that resonate - and roll in a different direction. Simply by doing their own
thing, Ashtray Electric, with their subtle and magical mix of musical influences, has over the past
year continued to leave their unique imprint on the local music scene.
September 25: Rietvallei – Captain Stu Winter Concert
Captain Stu brings you a tightly executed, e energetic blend of ska, funk, hip-hop, rock and
reggae with an African twist.
October 2: Silver Tree Restaurant – Andy Lund & The Mission Men Winter Concert
Listening to Andy Lund’s music is like watching the best film ever made. The music rolls out like a cinematic soundboard, driven by passion and emotion. “It is as much melancholic and it is joyous and the music itself moves with a feeling of dirty romanticism.”
October 9 Riebeek Cellars – Sterling EQ Winter Concert
This phenomenal instrumental group will be joining us for a second performance due to popular
demand.
October 16: Klein Constantia– McCulley Workshop Winter Concert
Known for their amazing cover versions the band intersperses originals and covers with hilarious
humor. Keeping to the formula, expect an evening of good music and comedy.
October 23: Du Toitskloof – Flat Stanley Winter Concert
2010 Has seen them tour Europe and play live in stadiums and arenas all over SA. Enjoy their
catchy melodies, engaging lyrics, and the charismatic presence of the vocalist Andy Mac, in a far more intimate setting than usual.
October 30: Silver Tree Restaurant – Heather Mac Winter Concert
Known for their amazing cover versions the band intersperses originals and covers with hilarious humor. Keeping to the formula, expect an evening of good music and comedy.

Tickets cost R100 per person and include a welcome drink and a starter.
Louise Carver & Flat Stanley concerts cost R135 per person.
