About The Cottage on the Kom, self catering accommodation:
Kommetjie ('small bay') is a suburb of Cape Town located some 35km from the city centre in the heart of the southern peninsula. Here you will enjoy fantastic scenery, the peacefulness of the village atmosphere and the intimate contact with nature.

The cottage is separate from the main house and is set in a garden environment, on the water’s edge.
  • The cottage is suitable for two persons but if required an additional two can be accommodated upstairs on a mezzanine floor with two single beds.
  • The en-suite bathroom consists of shower, hand basin and toilet.
  • The lounge area is adjacent to a fully equipped self catering kitchen and both enjoy a direct view onto The Kom.
  • Braai and Weber facilities are available.
  • There is off-street undercover parking for a vehicle.
  • Smoking permitted outside the cottage only please.
  • Rates include: continental breakfast, 100% Percale linen, bath towels, fruit basket, fresh flowers, tea, coffee, sugar;
  • serviced weekly;
  • By arrangement and at additional cost: laundry, guided walks/ picnics/ pre-arranged leisure activities;
  • Unfortunately no pets allowed.

Popular Activities:

Relaxing is hard to avoid, but once rested there is surfing, kayaking, fishing, bird watching, beach walks on the famous Noordhoek beach, extensive mountain walks and mountain biking.
Of course the other treasures of the southern suburbs, such as the Cape Point Nature Reserve and historical Simons Town, are all on your doorstep.
All this and you are still only forty minutes away from V&A waterfront and Table mountain via the beautiful Chapmans Peak drive and also the winelands of Stellenbosch.

Even though a small village, Kommetjie has most amenities such as mini market, cafes, restaurants, pubs, internet cafe, post office, laundry, petrol and workshop facilities.
Large shopping malls and other services can be found some 8km away.
