About My Lagoon House: Imagine a secret spot where flamingos gather in search of prawn beds.....
My Lagoon House is on the banks of the Bot River lagoon, Fisherhaven - a perfect place to stay and home to several different bird species, including flamingos, Sacred Ibis, the African Fish eagle and the oyster-catchers, some of the rarest coastal breeding birds in Southern Africa.
Our accommodation is for four people in Fisherhaven, close to the Hermanus village (14kms). Fisherhaven is a peaceful little village with magnificent views of the Kogelberg mountains, and is a popular area for watersports and birding. My Lagoon House is only 45 minutes drive to Stellenbosch. Facilities for self catering accommodation:
- two bedrooms(with main en-suite);
- family bathroom;
- fully equipped kitchen with Dishwasher, Microwave, all utensils,& crockery;
- linen and towels provided;
- Weekly clean and linen swap;
- Satellite TV.

Nearby Attractions: Fisherhaven is close to the sea for activities such as diving, sailing, sea fishing and crayfishing. The Hermanus area offers sheltered coves and 12 kms of cliff paths, near long, pristine beaches that are perfect for strolling, bathing and surfing. The mountains behind the village offer a range of hikes through fynbos with beautiful views of the lagoon and coast. Popular activity choices are:
- go whale watching
- visit a wine farm
- play golf at Kleinmond- or Hermanus Golf clubs or Arabella golf club Hotel and Spa
- go shark diving
- go for walks (beach or in the mountains)
- Eat out at great restaurants
- experience our extraordinary country on the back of a Classic Harley Davidson® Cruiser. Get the opportunity to ride a Harley - we will pick you up at My Lagoon House and provide you with a helmet, jacket and gloves. The tour costs € 150 per pillion passenger.
