About Stonehouse Lodge - self catering farm accommodation, Stilbaai:   
Stone House Lodge is a spacious and beautifully furnished, natural stone and thatch house that offers holiday accommodation on a tranquil hillside setting 6km outside of Still bay.   A huge wrap-around veranda enables the visitor to enjoy spectacular views of the river and glorious sunsets, on a working olive farm with private game.

The 4 bedroom, self catering facilities have been designed for easy, relaxed living for up to 10 people:
  • Bedroom 1 downstairs Queen bed.
  • Bedroom 2 downstairs Queen Bed.
  • Bedroom 3 upstairs 2 double beds.
  • Bedroom 4 area 2 single bunk beds.

Stonehouse Lodge is situated 350 kms from Cape Town on the tidal Goukou River. The farm has 400m river frontage extending inland with 3 indigenous kloofs that attract wildlife and many species of birds.

Nearby Attractions:
The popular town of Stilbaai ( 340km from Cape Town) is situated at the start of the Garden Route, at the mouth of the Goukou River.
Stilbaai is renowned for its wonderful stretches of sandy beaches for swimming, kitesurfing, surfing, fishing, whale watching.  The tidal river and estuary is popular for boating, fishing and watersports.
Near to a Golf course and Restaurants.
Visit the Palinggat natural fountain and feed the eels at the Palinggat Homestead that houses the Stilbaai Tourism Bureau. Two species of the Anguilla eels are said to have been living in the spring for the past 125 years.
