  • St. James tidal pool is a popular attraction for swimming, or the beach for sea shells and rock pools. 
  • The quaint fishing harbour of Kalk Bay has a restaurant and fresh fish can be purchased directly from the fishermen on the pier.  Sea fishing is possible along the coast or from pier at Kalk Bay Harbour.
  • Kalk Bay has the most delightful collection of restaurants, bric-a-brac shops and boutiques if you amble along the main road.
  • For those that like day walks, the back garden leads directly into Trappieskop mountain which lies within the Silvermine Nature Reserve, or visit the Kalk Bay Caves.
  • Snorkel from Jaegers Walk, or swim from sheltered Fishhoek beach. 
  • During September and October whales can usually be seen less than 100 meters from Waters Edge lodge.
